Once the assessment is complete, we'll develop a plan for therapy, discuss with you and if approved, move forward with therapy.
Determine if additional therapy is needed.

Preparing your pet for a healing session involves creating a calm and comfortable environment.
Here are some steps to help you get ready:
Create a Relaxing Space: Ensure your pet has a quiet, comfortable area to relax in. This space should be free from distractions and loud noises
Comfortable Position: Make sure your pet is in a comfortable position, whether lying down or sitting. You can use a favorite blanket or bed to help them feel secure
Hydration and Nutrition: Ensure your pet has had something to eat and drink before the session. This helps them stay relaxed and not distracted by hunger or thirst
Bathroom Break: Give your pet a chance to relieve themselves before the session starts to avoid any discomfort during the healing
Calm Atmosphere: You can play soft, soothing music to create a peaceful atmosphere. Your pet is sensitive to sound, so choose something gentle
Your Own Relaxation: Take a few deep breaths and relax. Your calm energy will help your pet feel more at ease

Future Programs
Additional focus will be to partner with Veterinarians, Shelters, Rescues and Sanctuaries to help the animals heal and enjoy a more healthy life
Rescues
Work with rescues to help animals who come from the shelter system and need extra care. Rescues take on significant expenses covering medical costs to help these animals, as shelters are often not equipped with the funds or staff to handle medical needs.
Veterinarians
Work with local veterinarians to refer senior animals, special needs animals or any animal that would benefit with additional healing support.
Sanctuaries
Work with sanctuaries to help residents live a healthy and longer life. Animals arrive at sanctuaries where they can live out the remainder of their lives in a caring and compassionate environment. Providing additional therapy, in addition to the care they receive, will help achieve that goal.
Work with shelters to help animals be more adoptable, especially senior and special needs animals who are often overlooked. Our goal is to help all animals regardless of age or health status. Providing the extra support can make a difference to finding a new home.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is acupressure therapy?
Acupressure involves applying light pressure to specific points along energy pathways (meridians) to encourage balance within the body. This non-invasive technique can support mobility, reduce stress, aid digestion, and enhance overall wellness for both preventive and rehabilitative care.
What are the benefits of acupressure therapy?
Acupressure therapy can offer numerous benefits for animals, including:
Pain Relief: Acupressure can help relieve pain caused by conditions such as arthritis, stiffness, and injuries.
Improved Mobility: By stimulating specific points, acupressure can enhance the flexibility and mobility of animals.
Enhanced Immune System: Acupressure can strengthen the immune system, helping animals fight off infections and disease.
Stress Reduction: Acupressure can promote relaxation and reduce stress in animals, improving their overall well-being.
Better Circulation: Acupressure can improve blood circulation, which is essential for the health of organs and tissues.
How does acupressure therapy work for animals?
Acupressure therapy for animals involves applying gentle pressure to specific points on their bodies, known as acupressure points. These points are located along energy pathways called meridians, which are similar to those found in humans. By stimulating these points, acupressure can help restore the balance of energy (Qi) in animals, promoting healing and well-being
Is Acupressure Therapy Safe for Animals?
Acupressure therapy is generally safe for animals and can be a valuable addition to their health care routine. However, it is important to consult with a veterinarian before starting acupressure therapy, especially if the animal has any underlying health conditions. A trained acupressure practitioner can guide you on the appropriate techniques and points to use for your animal.
What if my pet has medical issues, can they still receive acupressure therapy?
Yes, your pet can benefit from acupressure therapy as a holistic supportive treatment. While it complements traditional Western medicine, it does not replace it. Acupressure is a safe and non-invasive therapy that will not harm your pet. We recommend that if your pet has medical issues, you seek approval from your veterinarian.
Is acupressure therapy the same for cats, dogs and horses?
Acupressure therapy for cats, dogs, and horses is based on the same principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), but there are some differences in how it is applied and how each species responds:
Sensitivity to Touch: Cats are generally more sensitive to touch compared to dogs and horses. This means that acupressure sessions for cats may need to be shorter and more gentle
Acupressure Points: While the acupressure points (acupoints) are similar across species, the specific locations and techniques used can vary slightly to accommodate the anatomical differences between cats, dogs, and horses
Behavioral Responses: Cats may be more reactive and less tolerant of prolonged sessions, whereas dogs and horses might be more cooperative and relaxed during the therapy
Application Techniques: For horses, acupressure often involves larger movements and more pressure due to their size and muscle mass. Dogs and cats require more precise and gentle pressure
