Our Story:

Two sisters (Denise and Kim) dedicated to healing companion animals and sentient beings, enabling them to live their best lives happy and healthy.

Our journey began over 10 years ago in Southern California, working in canine and feline rescue. We adopted special needs and senior pets, seeking ways to improve their comfort and quality of life. This led us to explore both eastern and western medicine therapies.

In 2016, we adopted Lilly, a Belgian Shepherd mix, followed by Mason, a senior German Shepherd diagnosed with Degenerative Myelopathy (DM) and Intervertebral Disk Disease (IVDD). Eastern medicine therapies extended Mason's mobility for several months. After moving to Colorado in 2020 with our pack of 4 (2 dogs and 2 cats), we faced challenges in finding similar care, which deepened our commitment to helping senior and special needs animals.

We adopted Riley, another senior German Shepherd, in 2021, and later Skylee, a diabetic Golden Retriever and former puppy mill mom. Despite health challenges, our pets thrived with dedicated care and therapy.

In 2022 after losing 3 of our 4 original companions, we pursued certification in acupressure through the RMSAAM Small Animal and Equine Acupressure program, volunteering at a horse sanctuary to complete our case studies. Our mission is to provide holistic care and support for senior and special needs animals, ensuring they live happy, healthy lives.    We are certified in the state of Colorado in small animal and equine acupressure therapy!

My 7-year-old Lab, Sassy, was diagnosed with hip dysplasia. She has benefited greatly from the acupressure treatment administered by Kim and Denise at Healing Paws and Hooves. The sessions are very professional and yet loving and kind. I am fortunate to have these fine ladies giving treatment to Sassy. Marion McDonald

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional care provided by Kim and Denise during a challenging time for my beloved pup, Sherlock. When he fell critically ill, my family and I were overwhelmed and desperate for any support we could find. Without hesitation, Denise and Kim showed up the very same day, bringing not just their incredible acupressure skills, but also a sense of calm and compassion that made all the difference. Their unique acupressure skills, combined with their ability to tune in to what Sherlock needed — physically and energetically — was nothing short of remarkable. Thanks to their support during that fragile time, Sherlock was able to stabilize and make a beautiful recovery. We’ll never forget their kindness, their presence, or the deep care they brought to our family in a moment of crisis. I truly believe that without Denise and Kim's kindness and professionalism during this critical time, his journey to wellness would have been much more daunting. I wholeheartedly recommend their services to anyone in need; they are a true blessing for pets and their owners alike. Thank you, Denise and Kim, for everything! Mia Kitner

Shelby, my senior leased mare, has been navigating the challenges of arthritis and recurring uveitis. Kim and Denise have been a gift in her journey — consistently showing up with their gentle touch, intuitive understanding, and deep knowledge of acupressure. They have been a source of light and support, helping me keep Shelby's body strong and her spirit high. I am incredibly grateful for the care that Kim and Denise have provided Shelby. Their work has helped us manage Shelby's discomfort, reduce inflammation, and support her emotionally and physically. She's moving more freely and seems more at ease in her body. It's clear she trusts them completely, and so do I. Their care has brought a new layer of wellness into Shelby's life, and we are beyond grateful. Their dedication and genuine love for animals shine through in every session, and it's clear that they genuinely care about helping each animal flourish. I cannot recommend Kim and Denise enough to anyone looking for exceptional care for their furry companions. Mia Kitner
